{Meet the Mayor}

Tonight my 5 year old received an award from the Mayor!
Are you wondering what he did?
Did he save a life?
or was he showing great kindness to members of our community?
Perhaps he did some good deed?

Nope
none of those
Jacob won a coloring contest!

And he won first place in his age division!

So Jacob received his "Heritage award" live on local TV

He was so Proud
and so was I.

He also was given a watch, a foot ball, tickets to a lacrosse game, a night of free bowling, $50 Cash, Gift Certificates for McDonald's and a family pass to the Canada Games pool.

Then he got a little confused and said "mom all I did was colored a picture"

True... It was just a picture, but look at the detail, the creativity...and the Blue Ribbon!!!
It was such a special night!

Aliza Didn't make it through the very boring city council meeting..... reminded me that even at 3 she is still my baby fast asleep in my arms.
